Recent Exhibitions
Anna is an architect and fine artist, interested in trans-disciplinary, cross-
media practice transferring between
the built environment and fine arts.
Over 20 years experience working with internationally recognised firms, and collaborating with local and overseas clients, designers, and artists forms
the core philosophy to create exciting, sustainable projects ranging from independent crafted projects to regenerative or new urban projects.
As a fine artist, experience with design process and various mediums form
an expressive foundation of new works,
recent private art commissions and exhibitions. Working in architecture,
art and making informs interpretative studies in furniture, sculpture and photography, often with subversive
humor. Recent works concern the monumental nature of cities, conditions
of experience, nature, its material
and form.
Teaching and guest critic appointments
at Australian and overseas universities
are an ongoing interest in education
and research.
Anna is currently traveling between New York and Melbourne for research on the city, and operating design advisory and consulting as founder of Fairbank and
Lau P/L, based in Melbourne.
